As a qualified Mediator and Accredited Family Law Specialist Kate prefers to help her clients resolve their problems with mediation and dispute resolution to keep costs to a minimum but she is always ready to use her extensive legal skills to pursue her clients case in Court whenever necessary.
Kate attended the University of Newcastle where she attained a Bachelor of Arts (Majoring in Ancient History) and Bachelor of Laws. Kate went on to study at the Australian National University where she attained her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice in 2007 and was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court in Canberra on the 14 December 2007. Kate commenced working as a Family Lawyer in February 2009.
On 16 October 2013 Kate graduated with her Masters of Applied Law (Family Law). In 2015, Kate attained her Graduate Diploma of Family Dispute Resolution Practice and was registered with the Attorney-General’s Department as an Accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner.
On 1 November 2015 Kate became an Accredited Family Law Specialist.
Kate is an Independent Children’s Lawyer, is on the Legal Aid Panel as well as the Legal Aid Family Dispute Resolution Panel and the Cross Examination Scheme Panel.
